“LOST”
In 1999 there was a short-lived ABC series titled “Wasteland” by Kevin Williamson. Allison was hired in the recurring role of JULES; a lost girl with a heart of gold and pretty singing voice. The series was cancelled before her singing episodes aired. Here are “LOST” solo and duet. They are both live performances from the filming.
"I THINK IT'S GOING TO RAIN TODAY"
"WHEN SOMEBODY LOVED ME"
In 2000, Allison collaborated alongside Randy Newman in the premiere of his musical, “The Education Of Randy Newman,” which premiered at the South Coast Rep. in California. She portrayed many young woman in the musical while performing the catalog of Newman songs put to story, but most importantly held the role of his first wife. Here she sings “I Think It’s Gonna Rain Today”, a thrill for Allison after admiring such renditions of the song by artists like Nina Simone. Allison's solo from the second act was “When Somebody Loved Me”, originally recorded for the film, “Toy Story,” by Sarah Maclachlan. These are the two recordings of Allison from Live performances of the show.
“SAVED”
In 1998-1999, Allison was exploring songwriting. She learned some guitar and wrote an impressive amount of songs. While filming the movie, “Los Anos Barbaros,” throughout Spain and France, Allison traveled with her guitar and wrote on location. Her song “SAVED” was asked to be the end-title song in the independent film, “Kat and Allison Are Having A Bad Day”.
